Full Job Description

Diesel Mechanic- $2,400 sign on bonus for qualified candidates

German-Bliss Equipment Inc., an equipment dealership located in East Peoria, IL, is growing and has a great opportunity available for a master diesel mechanic. This is a full-time position – Monday through Friday, 8 to 5 – with benefits and competitive hourly rate with performance commissions.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience in diesel equipment repair with strong product knowledge of small to mid-size equipment, generally less than 100 HP (skid steers, excavators, zero turns, etc.). Product lines include Kubota, Gehl, Exmark, Hustler, Honda, and Stihl, among others.

Duties and Responsibilities:

– Diagnose and repair equipment in an accurate, complete, and timely manner. Typical work includes power and drive trains and electrical, fuel, and hydraulic systems.

– Maintain a professional and safe attitude.

– Dedication to learning and growth.

– The ability to accept constructive instruction and direction as part of the growth process.

Skills/Qualifications Requirements:

– Diagnostic, triage, and repair abilities.
– Effective written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
– Computer ability: need to be able to clock on and off tickets.

– Knowledge of customer service expectations when in customer and common areas.
